Helen R. McFadden of Jefferson City died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at Jefferson 
City Manor Care Center. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, a daughter of Walter D. 
and Martha Schefski Rumel. She was a graduate of Southwest High School in Kansas 
City, and attended college in Kansas City. She was married September 22, 1945, in 
Houston, Texas, to Kirk L. McFadden. She worked for Trans World Airlines and the 
Federal Aviation Administration. She was a member of Meadow Lake Acres Country 
Club, where she enjoyed golfing. She was a member of the Missouri Ladies Amateur 
Golf Association and a number of local Bridge Clubs. She was preceded in death by 
one daughter, Helen Suzann, in 1946. Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m. Friday, 
March 30, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors-Jefferson City Chapel. Funeral 
services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2001, at the HouserMillard Funeral 
Directors-Jefferson City Chapel, with Rev. Murl Nash officiating. Committal services 
will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2001, at Mt. Moriah Cemetery's Chapel of 
Hope in Kansas City. Entombment will follow in the Mt. Moriah Garden of Faith 
Mausoleum. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society. 
Arrangements are under the direction of Houser-Millard Funeral Directors, 2613 W.
