Grace E. (Sherman) Thompson Arbour, 93, died June 7, 2014 at home. Born April 11, 
1921 in Palmer, she was the daughter of the late George B. and Hester (Landen) 
Sherman and lived most of her life in Brimfield. She will be missed by her children, 
George Thompson (Irene) of TN, Eleanor Leroux (Richard) of Brimfield, Mary 
Thompson with whom she lived, Virginia Butler (Ronald) of Auburndale, FL, Patricia 
Thompson of Ware, Martha Thompson of Monson, Candace Laroche of Manchester, 
NH, three step children; Cynthia Smaldone (Dan) of KY, Dennis Arbour (Lesley) of ME 
and Richard Arbour (Cynthia) of Russell, MA. She also leaves siblings, John L. 
Sherman, and Charles W."Bud"(Natalie) Sherman, both of Brimfield. Additionally, she 
leaves 19 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter and 
many nieces and nephews. Grace was preceded in death by her husband Roland 
Arbour, two brothers George and Milton Sherman. Calling hours will be Thursday, June 
12th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. A memorial 
service will be held at a later date at the Brimfield Congregational Church. In lieu of 
flowers, please make donations to Brimfield Congregational Church or a charity of
