Wednesday, March 28, 1990 at Wesley Willows Health Care Center, Rockford. Born 
Nov. 22, 1887, in Jamestown, N.D., daughter of Edwin and Minnie Helm White. Lived 
most of her life in Rockford. Married Benjamin Blakeman "B.B." Early, June 1911; he 
died in 1945. Then married Ralph Thompson in 1950; he died in 1952. Member 
Second Congregational Church and Rockford Country Club. Former board member 
Rockford Woman's Club. Former board member Rockford YWCA. Survivors include two 
sons, Albert D. Early, Sarasota, Fla., and Gordon W. Early, Rockford; two 
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Predeceased by a son, Edwin Early, in 
1945; and two grandchildren, Dr. Guy Early in 1981 and Deborah Fayen in 1985.
Memorial services at 2 p.m. Friday, April 27, in Chapel of Wesley Willows Health Care 
Center, with the Rev. Dean Dairymple, pastor of Second Congregational Church, and 
the Rev. Dr. Joseph C. Cleveland pastor emeritus of the church, officiating. Private 
burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements by Burpee-Wood Funeral Home, 420 N. 
Main St. No Visitation. Memorials to Good Samaritan Fund at Wesley Willows Health 
Care Center.
