 MISHAWAKA - Services for Owen William Miles, 75, of Locust Street, who died about 
9 a.m. Monday in his home, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in South Side General Baptist 
Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. 
Wednesday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., where memorial services 
will be conducted at 7 p.m. by Moose Lodge 130. 

 Mr. Miles retired in 1979 from Tucker Freight Lines, Steel Division, South Bend, after 
25 years of service as a truck driver. He was born April 15, 1919, in Florence, Ala. On 
Jan. 25, 1941, in Florence, he married Edith Helen Yates. She survives with three 
daughters, Frances Miles Grubb of Barbourville, Ky., Nancy Miles Fry of Mishawaka 
and Jonnie Miles Keeble of Mesa, Ariz.; four grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth Swell, 
Beulah Canerby and Neva Chandler, all of Florence; and two brothers, Virgil and 
Clifford, both of Florence. He was a veteran of the Army and a member of the church, 
Masonic Lodge 130, Order of Eastern Star Chapter 598, Osceola, and Scottish Rite 
Valley of South Bend.
