	Benjamin attended Friends Primary School, Harrisville, Ohio, and Friends 
Boarding School, Barnesville, Ohio, graduating in 1898. He then attended Westtown 
Friends School, Westtown, Pa., graduating in 1900.
	Benjamin taught at Friends Boarding School, Barnesville, Ohio, and was 
principal there from 1906 until 1911. Benjamin stopped teaching and went to work in 
an office in Wheeling, W.Va., and then was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad 
Co. When the railroad transferred him to Phila., Pa., he and his mother Susan moved 
to Malvern, Pa., and then Downingtown, Pa. Later he became a Boy Scout executive 
in Chester Co., Pa. Benjamin did not marry.
