Mary Louise Lemmon (February 9, 1923-May 4, 1976)

Mary Louise Lemmon, 53, of Chevy Chase, Maryland died Tuesday, May 4, in St. 
John's Hospital, Springfield, Illinois. 
Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, May 7, in the Weicht Funeral Home, 
Angola, with Reverend Russell Brayton, pastor of the Pleasant Lake Baptist 
Church, officiating. Interment followed in Pleasant Lake Cemetery. 
Miss Lemmon was born February 9, 1923 at Pleasant Lake, to Beecher and Helen 
(Hubka) Lemmon. She graduated from Pleasant Lake High School, received a BS 
degree from Northern Illinois College, attended University of Wisconsin and 
later obtained a PhD from the University of Illinois. 
A Home Economics instructor, Miss Lemmon was a member of the National 
Advisory Board of Future Homemakers of America, American Home Economics 
Education Association, American Vocational Association and other professional 
associations. She also had written several articles for professional magazines. 
Survivors include her father, Beecher Lemmon and stepmother, Madalene Lemmon 
of Lafayette; two half-sisters, Mrs. William (Coyene) Halpern, of Arlington, 
Virginia and Mrs. Brad (Carlyle) Pare, Richmond, Michigan; and three 
half-brothers, Arthur and Prentice Jack Lemmon, both of Lafayette, and Russell 
Lemmon, San Jose, California.

A former resident of Pleasant Lake, Mary Louise Lemmon, 53, died Tuesday,
