BEECHER B LEMMON
 Beecher had a high school education. On July 27, 1917 he enlisted in the
regular army, and served until granted an honorable discharge April 25, 1918.
At the time of his discharge he was a sergeant in the quartermaster's corps.
 Beecher was a well known chef in the Lafayette, Indiana area. He was a
graduate of Valpairaso College.
 Beecher died in the Indiana Veteran's Home Hospital at Lafayette, Indiana.

Retired Chef and Farmer Beecher Lemmon, 91, Dies
--
 Beecher B. Lemmon, 91, of 1212 King St., died at 2:25 a.m. Tuesday in [the]
Indiana Vetrans' Home Hospital. He was admitted there April 12, 1984.
 A well-known chef, Mr. Lemmon formerly worked at the old Fowler Hotel, Alcoa,
Sweet Shop, and Purdue University Union Building. He also farmed.
 Born at Pleasant Lake, he was a graduate of Pleasant Lake High School and
attended Valparaiso University. He had lived in Lafayette 40 years.
 He was first married in 1912 to Erma White, who died that same year. His
second marriage was in 1922 to Helen Hubka and she died in 1923. In 1928 he
married Madelene C. Nicholls, who is a retired Wea and West Point elementary
schoolteacher.
 Mr. Lemmon was a veteran of World War I and he attended Christ United
Methodist Church.
 Surviving with the widow are three sons, Arthur and P. Jack Lemmon, both
of Lafayette, and Russell Lemmon of San Jose, Calif.; and two daughters,
Mrs. William (Coyene) Halpern of Arlington, Va., and Mrs. Brad (Carlyle)
Pare' of Richmond, Mich.

Funeral Notice

Beecher B. Lemmon - There will be no visiting at Hippensteel Funeral Home.
Memorial service in Hippensteel Chapel at 10 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Larry
A. Johnson officiating. Remains will be interred this spring in Pleasant
Lake Cemetery near Angola. Surviving are eight grandchildren. Sympathy may
best be expressed by memorial contributions to the Cancer Fund.

 Beecher B. Lemmon, 91, Lafayette, formerly of Pleasant Lake, died at 2:25
a.m. Tuesday in the Indiana Veteran's Home Hospital, Lafayette.
 He was born on June 8, 1893, in Pleasant Lake to Maurice and Anna Lemmon. He
graduated from Pleasant Lake High School and Valpairaso College.
 Mr. Beecher was preceded in death by his first wife, Erma White Lemmon, in
1912 and his second wife, Helen Hubka Lemmon, in 1923.
 He is survived by his wife, Madalene C. Nichols Lemmon, whom he married in
1928 in Auburn; three sons, Arthur Lemmon and Jack Lemmon, both of Lafayette;
and Russell Lemmon, San Jose, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. William (Coyene)
Halpern, Arlington, Va.; and Mrs. Brad (Carlyle) Pare, Richmond, Mich.; and
eight grandchildren.
 Mr. Lemmon was a well known chef in the Lafayette area, where he had been a
resident the past 40 years.
 Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday at Hippensteel Funeral
Home, Lafayette, with the Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. Graveside services,
with Weicht Funeral Home in charge, will be held later in the year at Pleasant
Lake Cemetery. Memorials are to the Cancer Fund.
