PRENTICE JACK LEMMON, 70 
LAKELAND - Prentice Jack Lemmon, 70, was born on Sept. 2, 1938 in Pleasant Lake, 
IN. He "sank" his last putt" on March 1, 2009 at the Winter Haven Florida Hospital 
from pancreatic cancer. He had been living in Florida for the past 17 years. 

 He graduated from Purdue University in 1965. He was a Vietnam veteran and a 
member of the U.S. Marine Corps from 1966 to 1968. 

 In 1996, he married Lynn Alpha. She survives. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 
1023, American Legion of Winter Haven, FL. and AmVets of Lakeland, FL. He was a 
player and a life member of the Purdue University Rugby Club and the Indianapolis 
Reds Rugby Club. 

 A "celebration of life" will be held at the Schalamar Creek Country Club in Lakeland, 
FL., on March 17th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jack's name to the 
Lakeland Florida S.P.C.A. or the Tampa Bay Greyhound Rescue in Brandon, Florida.
