Nicholas was the son of Frank and Catherine (Schockweiler) HOSCH who were from 
Belgium (then Luxembourg).
He was born about 1866 in or near Dubuque, Iowa.
He was a Railroad Engineer 
OBITUARY
Funeral N. C. Hosch Sunday Afternoon
The funeral of N. C. Hosch veteran railroad man who died at his home, 101 San 
Jacinto street, Friday morning will be held Sunday afternoon at the Anderson- Clayton 
funeral home at 3 o'clock. Internment will follow at Oakland Memorial park, with the 
Masons having charge of the services at the graveside. Mr. Hosch held a life 
membership in the Irving Texas Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Hosch is survived by the following: his widow, three sons Phil Hosch of New 
Orleans, Frank Hosch of Olympia, Washington, and Dell Hosch of the U. S Navy on 
submarine duty, two daughters: Mrs Fay Putnam of Mrs. Theo Guest of Olympia, 
Washington; one brother, Henry Hosch of Sheldon, Iowa; one sister, Mrs Mae Chute 
of Berkley, California.

Ben F. Stellenwerck, W. M. of the local lodge and O. O. Morris secretary have issued 
a call for local Masons to meet promptly at 2 P.m.Sunday to attend the funeral.
