Virginia E. Wisler taught in Parma at the Pearl Road Elementary School from 1956 until 
retiring in 1973. 

Mrs. Wisler, 85, died Tuesday at the Firelands Nursing Center in New London. 

She was born in New London. She lived in Parma from 1956 to 1973, when she retired 
to Florida. She returned to New London in 1981. 

She was a graduate of New London High School and Kent State University. She 
earned her master's degree at Case Western Reserve University. She first taught sixth 
grade in New London before teaching in Parma. 

She was a member of the New London United Methodist Church. 

Mrs. Wisler is survived by her daughter, Judy Osterland of New London; five 
grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; two sisters; and 
two brothers. 

Graveside services will be private. 

Arrangements will be handled by Eastman funeral home in New London.
