NEW LONDON -- Judith Ann "Judy" Osterland, 77, of New London died Thursday, 
Sept. 20, 201,2 at The Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Firelands in New London. 

Judy was born May 19, 1935, in Cleveland, the only child of Virginia (ne Fuller) and C. 
Robert Wisler. 

In 1938, Judy came to New London to live with her grandparents, Judson and Mae 
Fuller, and was a lifelong resident of New London. She graduated from New London 
High School in 1953, where she met and married John R. Osterland on Aug. 16, 1952. 
They raised five children. 

With her children settled in school, she went to work part time in the office of Nickles 
Bakery. On Jan. 2, 1969, she started in the bookkeeping department of the former 
Savings and Loan Banking Co., later becoming a teller. She retired after 25 years. 

Judy is survived by her children, John Osterland Jr. of Clarksfield, Mark Douglas 
Osterland of New London, Debra Denise Farnsworth of New London and Vicky Lyn 
(Charlie) Mack of Plymouth; along with 15 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John R. 
Osterland Sr.; and daughter, Lee Ann Schneiter. 

Friends may visit with family 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at Eastman Funeral 
Home, 200 W. Main St., New London. A funeral service will take place 11 a.m. 
Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, with Pastor Ben Black officiating. Burial will follow in Grove 
Street Cemetery, New London. A lunch will follow at New London Eagles, 29 W. Fir 
St., New London. 

Memorial contributions may be made to New London Historical Society, 210 E. Main 
St., New London, Ohio 44851; or Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 
44870.
