1981 book:
	Edwin was a merchant seaman.  Thereafter, he owned a Texaco gas station 
and automobile repair shop.  After Edwin suffered a ruptured appendix and a broken 
arm from cranking a car, the Depression hit and he lost his home, causing him to move 
to Monongahela, Pa.
	Edwin and his family lived in Flint Hill, Va. until 1930, when they moved to 
Donora, Pa.

appendicitis attack and broke his arm cranking a car, the Depression hit, so the family 
moved to Donora, Pa. They went there on the advice of Charles L. Yates, whose 
mother was the great aunt of Ella Yates and who lived in Monogahela, Pa.
