Phyllis May Curry, 79, 3 Forest Hills Drive, Luray, died Monday, May 21, 2001, at Page 
Memorial Hospital in Luray. 

Mrs. Curry was born July 30, 1921, in Luray, and was a daughter of the late Edwin 
Galen Clendenon and Sarah Kathryn Beahm Clendenon. 

She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and was a clerk at the Page County 
Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. She was also a member of the Veterans of 
Foreign Wars Ladies' Auxiliary Post 621, the Tuesday Night Supper Club and the Luray 
Caverns Country Club. 

On Jan. 1, 1941, she married James S. Campbell Sr., who died April 10, 1973. On May 
22, 1977, she married Thad Curry, who survives. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, James Stephen Campbell Jr., 
Glendale, Ariz.; two daughters, Sharon Joanne Nicholson and Kathryn Robinette 
Blythe, both of Frederick, Md.; two sisters, Margaret Anne Robinson and Ruth Elinor 
Stoiff, both of Pennsylvania; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. 

The Rev. R. Nicholas Eichelberger will conduct a memorial service at 2 p.m. Sunday 
at St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Her body will be cremated at Harrisonburg Cremation 
Service. 

Arrangements are by the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray.
