Lucy Ladd Willey died Dec. 17, 1996, in Chesapeake. 

Born in Richmond, she was the widow of Hillard Lee Willey and was a member of First 
Baptist of Norfolk, Mim's Bible Class and Keystone Club of Norfolk. 

Survivors include a son, Winston H. Willey and his wife, Bonnie, of Norfolk; a brother, 
Thomas Ladd and his wife, Thelma, of Norfolk; two grandsons, Thomas H. Willey and 
James L. Willey, both of Norfolk; and a host of other relatives and friends. 

A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk 
Chapel. Burial will be in Emmanuel Episcopal Cemetery, Richmond. The family will 
receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Edition: FINAL

(97) Lucy Elizabeth Ladd, of Norfolk, Virginia, born in Rich- mond, Virginia,
daughter of Thomas Mifflin Ladd, III (50), and Margaret Gertrude Munford,
married Hillard Lee Willey, September 14, 1940. He served in the Air Force in
World War II, was attached to B-29 with which he went to Siapan where he
served with that branch of the service until the Armistice was signed. He
received his discharge January 6, 1946. Is now in business in Norfolk,
Virginia.
