Robert Leland George, a 62-year resident of California and a seven-year resident of 
Yucca Valley, died Feb. 7, 2012. He was 89 years old.
  
The son of Barnett Leland George and Luella George née Wooley, he was born May 5, 
1922, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
 



He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Society of Motion 
Picture Engineers.

Mr. George was a camera designer and engineer for most of his life

He was an avid lover of music, photography and physics.

He is survived by his sons, David George, Michael George and Joel George, and one 
grandchild.

Services will be held at the Salt Lake City Cemetery May 5, 2012.
