Wanda Williams Newton, beloved mother, grandmother and friend, age 92, passed 
away Oct. 7, 2002 in Salt Lake City, Utah. 

She was born Sept. 10, 1910 in Kamas, Utah to Joseph Williams and Ruth Rynearson 
Williams. She married Richard R. Newton in Salt Lake City, Utah. 

She was a member of the Catholic Church. She graduated from South Summit High 
School and attended LDS Business College. She was a dedicated employee of the 
Salt Lake City School District for many years and loved the daily interaction she had 
with the teachers and students. A loyal supporter of the University of Utah Athletics, 
she always looked forward to attending all home games with friends and family. 

She lived life to the fullest and will be missed by all of the people who's lives she 
touched. 

She is survived by her daughter Ruth Newton Sweet, grandchildren Christopher 
Newton Hansen (Sherri), Sean Michael Sweet, great-grandchildren, Allysyn Kaye 
Hansen and Casey Christopher Hansen. She is preceded in death by her husband 
Richard R. Newton, sisters Marjorie Dugan, Bernice Bernett and Fern Benson. 

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2002 at 10 a.m. at the Mt. 
Calvary Cemetery, 275 "U" Street, under the direction of Wasatch Lawn Mortuary.
