Helen “Nana” Larson, 80, of Big Spring, died Friday, May 22, 2015 at her residence. 
The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Myers & Smith 
Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Myers & Smith 
Chapel with Randy Cotton, pastor Trinity Baptist, officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity 
Memorial Park.

Helen was born May 29, 1934 in Hawley, Texas to Katie Arizona (Tucker) and James 
Clinton. 

She married Blaine Larson on November 5, 1953 in Big Spring and he preceded her in 
death on October 18, 2003. 

She was a homemaker but also worked at College Park Safeway for 17 years. 
Following that she worked as a substitute teacher for Big Spring Independent School 
District for over 20 years. 

She loved gardening, arts and crafts, baking and her grandkids and great grandkids. 

She had been a lifetime resident of Big Spring and was a member of Trinity Baptist 
Church.

Helen is survived by two daughters: Brenda Kae Larson and Jan Benford and husband 
Joe, all of Big Spring; two sons: David Larson and wife Larenda and Timothy Larson 
and wife Audrae, also all of Big Spring; one brother: Elmer Clinton and wife June of 
Big Spring; eight grandchildren: Samuel Hull and wife Crystal of Knott, Jason Hull and 
wife Monica of Big Spring, Jana Wanner and husband Chris of Lubbock, Amanda 
Layman and husband Dustin, Ashley Roberts and husband Regi, Megan Larson, 
Brandon Larson and Courtny Christian, all of Big Spring; 10 great grandchildren and a 
number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters: 
Tessie Decker, Prue Armstrong and Vivian Ethridge and one brother G.C. “Buddy” 
Clinton.

Pallbearers will be Samuel Hull, Jason Hull, Chris Wanner, Dustin Layman, Regi 
Roberts and Brandon Larson. Honorary pallbearers will be Russell Hull and Dennis 
Wilson.

The family suggests memorials to Trinity Baptist Church Building Fund, 1701 E FM 700, 
Big Spring, TX 79720.
