Marguerite L. Eck

Marguerite L. Eck, 86, of Fairland died Monday, Feb. 9, at Major Hospital.

Born on Feb. 6, 1923, in Moral Township in Shelby County, she was the daughter of 
Claude and Eliza (Mohr) Scott. She married Clyde C. Eck on Dec. 26, 1941, and he 
survives.

Other survivors include a son, Todd (wife, Sally) Eck of Franklin; a brother, Paul (wife, 
Geneva) Scott of Shelbyville; two half brothers, Harold Ray Scott of New Castle and 
Richard Scott of West Virginia; a half sister, Betty (husband, Bruce) Dudley of New 
Castle; and grandchildren, Amanda Eck and Dustin Eck, both of Franklin.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Eck graduated from Moral High School.

She had worked for Eli Lilly, L.S. Ayres, General Electric and Wellman Thermal 
Systems.

Mrs. Eck was a 50-year member of the Fairland Order of Eastern Star and a member of 
Pleasant View Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 
437 Amos Road.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom 
Strong officiating.

Burial will be at New Palestine Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant View Baptist Church or the Fairland 
Eastern Star in care of Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, 
Shelbyville IN 46176.
