HAROLD NEAVE JR., 84 MOUNT MORRIS - Harold Neave Jr., 84, died Tuesday, Aug. 
31, 2010, in Mount Morris. He was born Aug. 28, 1926, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Harold 
and Charlotte Eggers Neave. He received a B.A. from Williams College in 
Williamstown, Mass., and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. During World War 
II, Harold served as a Navy electronics technician mate 3/C. He was a registered 
professional engineer in Illinois by examination and a certified quality engineer. He 
served as the chairman of Rockford Section of the American Society for Quality 
Control. Harold worked as a project engineer for Kable Printing in Mount Morris and as 
a quality engineer for BorgWarner in Dixon. He was interested in local and county 
politics and served as an Ogle County Board member, supervisor of Mount Morris 
Township, trustee of the village of Mount Morris and chairman of the Ogle County 
Rural Landscape Committee. Harold was a German shorthair gun dog enthusiast, an 
avid outdoorsman and conservationist and an accomplished photographer. He leaves 
his sister, Nancy Jones of Hollister, Calif.; his nieces, Nancy Uhl of Bayfield, Colo., 
Elizabeth Dodd of San Francisco and Genevieve Barhaugh of Choteau, Mont.; his 
nephews, Steven Jones of Bayfield, Colo., Robert Jones of Pacific Grove, Calif., 
Richard Jones of Reno, Nev.; and his cousins, Gordon and Georganne Eggers and
