DELANEY, THOMAS RONALD, 83, of 5130 Brittany Drive S, St. Petersburg, died 
Saturday (Sept. 30, 1989) at College Harbor Nursing Home. He was born in Marcus, 
Iowa, he came here in 1977 from Omaha, Neb., where he received his law degree from 
Creighton Law School in 1930 and was a past director and member of the Creighton 
University Alumni Association. He practiced law in Baird, Iowa, in the early 1930s and 
moved to Polson, Mont., in 1938. He was the attorney for the county of Flathead, Mon 
t. After World War II, he was appointed to the prosecution staff for the International 
War Crimes Trials in Tokyo. After that he served in various government posts for the 
U.S. Department of State in Asia, Africa, and Washington, D.C. He was a member of 
the Montana Bar Association. Locally, he was former director of AARP and a member 
of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Survivors include two 
sons, T. Gerald, Big Fork, Mont., and Michael C., Greenwich, Conn.; four daughters, 
Sheila Griffin, Lincoln, Neb., Sharon O'Connell, Atlanta, Maryanne D. Brustman, 
Larchmont, N.Y., and Susan Cline, Park Ridge, Ill.; a sister, Margaret O'Loughlin, 
Newport Beach, Calif.; three stepchildren; 19 grandchildren; and six great-grandchild
