Sue Simpson, twelve year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Simpson, entered Mercy
hospital in Fort Dodge Sunday morning. She is seriously ill with rheumatic fever.

Suzanne Simpson Died at Age of 12
Mary Suzanne Simpson died Wednesday, June 2, in Mercy hospital at Fort Dodge,
where she was taken May 30. Death was due to heart failure, resulting from
complications of an attack of rheumatic fever which she suffered in February, 1950.
She had not been well since February of this year, but had attended school for short
periods and cmopleted the 6th grade at Sacred Heart School.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning in Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Fr.
Jerome Koenig as celebrant of the requiem Mass. Rev. Fr. J. E. tolan of Sac City
conducted the graveside rites. Burial was in Calvary cemetery. Pallbearers were
classmates, Richard Shors, Mike O'Brien, Eddie Eichler, Joe Malacek, Roger Drobney
and Mickey Hoffert. Fifth and sixth grade classmates acted as honorary pallbearers
and formed a guard of honor at the church and at the cemetery.
Susanne was born May 24, 1942 in Pocahontas, the youngest daughter of Glenn
Griffin and Marcella Kopriva Simpson. She spent her entire life in Pocahontas where
she was a member of Sacred Heart Church and attended Sacred Heart School.
Surviving besides her parents are two sisters, Marilyn and Joan and her two
grandmothers, Mrs. Mary Kopriva of this place and Mrs. Josephine Simpson of
Kenosha, Wis.

Konosha, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Robert Richardson, Bob and Kay, of Algona, Mr. and
Mrs. Wm. McCoy and Michael of Jackson, Minn., Ben Poduska, Mrs. Cecil Brush,
Martin and Brian, of chelsea, Mr. and Mrs. Eldred Johnson and Gary of Manson and
Mr. and Mrs. John Henrich of Clare.
