	Steve is a retired banker. He began his career as teller with the National 
Bank of Chester County. In 1953, he was promoted to assistant cashier, in 1960 to 
cashier, and in 1965, to vice-president and cashier. In 1970, he was named manager 
of a major office of the Southeast National Bank, successor to the National bank of 
Chester County. In 1974, he moved to the trust division. Steve retired on Mar. 1, 
1982.
	Steve is past president and a member of the board of managers of the 
Westtown School Alumni Association. He has served as director of the Chester County 
Historical Society and as director of the West Chester Chamber of Commerce.
Ruth is a civic leader.
Stephen and Ruth are members of the Religious Society of Friends. 
In 1981, Stephen and Ruth lived at 905 Springwood Dr., West Chester, Pa. 19380.
