Elaine B. ''Val'' Sullivan of Stafford Springs died Sunday at Evergreen Health Care 
Center in Stafford Springs. She was 76. 

 Born in West Hartford, she was a supervisor in the housekeeping department at 
Enfield Nursing Home for many years before retiring. 

 She was a member of St. Edward Parish and a past president and member of the 
Strazza, Tonoli-Emhoff Post No. 26 American Legion Auxiliary. 

 She is survived by a companion, Ronald J. ''Chin'' DaDalt of Stafford Springs; four 
daughters, Maureen and her husband, James Dobrindt of Meriden, Susan and her 
husband, Vassilios Arvanitis of Willington, Theresa and her husband, William Galica of 
Monson, Mass., and Kathleen M. Sullivan and her companion, Paul Grondin of 
Baldwinsville, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Norman 
Chaffee of Tennessee; two sisters, Jeannette Smith of Pennsylvania and Linda 
Perman of Colorado; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

 The funeral will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. at Introvigne Funeral Home Inc., 51 E. Main 
St., Stafford Springs, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Edward Church, Stafford 
Springs. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs. Calling hours are 
today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
