Ronald Pierce Stubbs, age 60, died April 28, 1997 in Orem, Utah, of cancer.

He was born September 18, 1936 in Provo, Utah, to Orlin and Norma Pierce Stubbs. 

Ron married Marilyn R. Van Leuven on June 20, 1956 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He attended Page Elementary and Lincoln High School, where he was on the track 
team. He graduated in 1955. 

He served in the U.S. Army from April 1959 to March 1961 and served 13 months in 
Korea and then in Fort Lewis, Washington. 

He worked in San Francisco, California for two years before returning to the Provo 
area. 

He has been in sales the past 20 years including owning his own sales and marketing 
company until January of this year.

Ron was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 

He played the guitar and sang for many occasions. 

He enjoyed camping, hunting and being outdoors with family and friends.

Survived by his wife, Marilyn; three daughters, Mrs. Tom (Annette) Malinowski, 
Toledo, Ohio; Juanita Bushman, Orem, Utah; Gaylene Ucker, Orem, Utah; six 
grandchildren; his father, Orlin Stubbs, Spanish Fork, Utah; five brothers and four 
sisters, LeRoy Stubbs, Provo, Utah; Eldon Stubbs, Spanish Fork, Utah; Shirl Stubbs, 
Layton, Utah; Bernell Stubbs, Idaho; Russell Stubbs, Spanish Fork, Utah; Jean Ames, 
Salt Lake City, Utah; Mrs. Douglas (Arlene) Dillingham, Orem, Utah; Mrs. Lee (Sherry) 
Glazier, Pleasant Grove, Utah; Fern Fenton, Saldotna, Alaska. 

Preceded in death by his mother, Norma.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 1, 1997, 12 noon, at the Timpview 6th 
Ward Chapel, 1200 North 950 West, Orem, Utah. 

Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 
East Center St., or Thursday morning at the ward chapel one hour prior to services. 

Interment: Orem City Cemetery.
