Paul Robert Rill died on February 27, 2006 at Williamsport Hospital.

Mr. Rill was born in Wilmington, Del., the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John C. Rill of 
Washington, D.C.

Mr. Rill is survived by Martha Choate Rill, his wife of 62 years; a brother, James F. 
Rill, Washington, D.C.; three daughters, Diane Wilson, Heidelberg, Germany; Claire 
Orsinger, Grand Rapids, MI; and Meg Phelps, Mifflinburg, PA. He was predeceased by 
his daughter, Laura Riehm; his brother, Jack Rill; and his granddaughter, Amber 
Phelps. He had eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Mr. Rill was a graduate of Culver Military Academy and Dartmouth College, where he 
majored in Civil Engineering.

Mr. Rill was a veteran of World War II, serving as a Captain in the Field Artillery. He 
taught at the Field Artillery School, Ft. Still, OK and served as a personnel officer, 
Armed Forces Western Pacific, Philippine Islands. He was a member of the US Army 
Reserves for several years after the war.

Mr. Rill was employed by the General Electric Co., where he served in manufacturing 
management. He was executive vice president of Anchor Darling Valve Co., 
Williamsport, PA. He retired from Alcan Aluminum?s Williamsport Cable Plant after 13 
years as plant manager.

Mr. Rill was a volunteer counselor for the Williamsport chapter of the Service Corps Of 
Retired Executives (SCORE). He was an active member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, 
Williamsport.

A memorial service will be held at the St. Luke Church at 11 a.m. on March 2. The 
family will receive guests starting at 10:30. Burial will be in Mountain Grove Cemetery, 
Bridgeport, CT.
