LEWISBURG — Martha C. Rill, 90, of Lewisburg, passed away Thursday, March 1, 
2012, in Lewisburg.

She was born Feb. 15, 1922, in Bridgeport, Conn. Her life was just fabulously 
celebrated at her 90th birthday party with her loving family.

She will be missed by her daughters and their husbands, Diane Wilson and Rick 
Relyea, of Mifflinburg, Meg and Keith Phelps, of Mifflinburg, and Claire and Curt 
Orsinger, of Grand Rapids, Mich.; her grandchildren, Choate Wilson and his wife, 
Tracy, Deirdre Wilson and her husband, David Rose, Laura Ogden and her husband, 
Matt, Erin Phelps, Drew Phelps and his wife, Lindsey, Mark Phelps and his wife, Dana, 
Anthony Phelps and Eric Orsinger; and great-grandchildren, Forest and Aarin Wilson, 
Penelope and Josephine Wilson-Rose, Lily Ogden, Lain Searle and Jordyn Phelps.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Robert Rill; her daughter, Laura 
Rill Riehm; her granddaughter, Amber Phelps; her brother, Donald Choate; and her 
sister, Ann Louks.

She grew up in Bridgeport, Conn., and graduated from Skidmore College, where she 
met Paul on a blind date. They lived in Fairfield, Conn., Birmingham, Mich., and 
Williamsport. Martha moved to Ridgecrest in Lewisburg when Paul died in 2006. 
Martha was a previous member of St. Luke's Lutheran in Williamsport and was a 
member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Lewisburg.

She will always be an example of living life to its fullest. She loved to play bridge and 
was an avid reader.

Family and friends are welcome to a time of visitation from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the 
Roupp Funeral Home Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg, where a memorial 
service to celebrate her life will be conducted at 3 with Pastor Donita J. Keister 
officiating.

Her burial will take place at a later date in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport, 
Conn.

Gifts may be made in memory of Martha to the Public Library for Union County, 255 
Reitz Blvd., Lewisburg, PA 17837.
