Deceased Name: James B. DuPrau
A memorial service will be held this afternoon in Palo Alto for James B. DuPrau, 86, a 
former steel company executive, who died November 27 at his Atherton home. 

A native of Ouray, Colo., Mr. DuPrau graduated from Stanford University in 1925. He 
was vice president and assistant to the president of the Western Division of United 
States Steel Corp. for 20 years before retiring in 1968. 

Mr. DuPrau was on the boards of the World Affairs Council, the San Francisco Bay 
Area Council and the San Francisco Spring Opera. He was a member of the Bohemian 
Club and the Union Pacific Club. 

He is survived by his wife, Dolly, of Atherton; three daughters, Jeanne, of Menlo Park, 
and Suzanne Rogers and Sarah Schwartz, both of San Francisco, and two 
grandchildren. 

The memorial service will be today at 3:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of 
Palo Alto, Louis and Embarcadero roads. Edition: FINAL
