William M. Updike of Hastings-on-Hudson, NY died early Saturday morning March 5th, 
2011 at Phelps Hospital in Sleepy Hollow. He was born on February 9th, 1932 in New 
York City to Mildred and Harold Updike. He is survived by daughter Elizabeth Updike 
Spisto, son Daniel Patterson Updike, children of Sarita Roy, grandchildren Jim and 
Emily Spisto, and sister Terry Updike Little.

He graduated from Colgate University and subsequently worked as an office planner 
for TIAA-CREF in New York City for 38 years. "Bill", as he was known to his friends 
and family, was a respected and admired long-time member of the First Unitarian 
Society of Westchester.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 26th at 2pm at the First Unitarian 
Society of Westchester in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY.
