MARTIN (MARTY) C. BEISNER
Martin (Marty) C. Beisner, 70 of Old Sedgefield died Friday, March 28, 2003, at his
home after a long illness.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2003, at Sedgefield
Presbyterian Church, 4216 Wayne Road, where he was a member. Reverend Douglas
P. Key will officiate.
Born in Oak Park, Ill., he was a native of Chicago, attended Wright Junior College and
was a member of Mu Omega Beta Fraternity. He was a veteran of the Korean War and
member of the 8th Air Force SAC where he began his printing career. Then at
Columbia Printing, Doremus Advertising in Chicago he advanced to become the
Printing Buyer at Whirlpool Corporation in Benton Harbor, Mich. He was a member of
Printing Craftsmen of Illinois and also of PICA.
He began his sales career with Graphic Enterprises of Milwaukee Wis. in 1968 and in
1976 moved his family to Greensboro and for a short time was a salesman for Fisher-
Harrison (now PBM Graphics). In 1978 he acquired Quality Printing and became a
distributor of Nimlok Trade Show Systems under the name of MCB Displays. He was
active there for 20 years and remained President Emeritus during his retirement. He
leaves the legacy of Martin C. Beisner Corporation.
He was a life member of the Elks Lodge and former member of Sedgefield Country Club
and Puppeteers of America.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, the former Mary Johnston of Wheaton, Ill. and
five daughters, Cheryl Neuroth and husband Philip of Blissfield, Mich., Laura Rowsey
of Greensboro, Linda Bell and husband Charlie of Oak Ridge, Bonnie Ferguson and
husband Guy of Summerfield, and Beth Kallam and husband Greg of Greensboro. Also
surviving are nine grandchildren, Josh, Andrew, Daniel, Reese, Rannon, Brooke,
Casey, Reed and Hayley.
Visitation will follow in the church parlor after the service, and at other times at the
home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice, the Marty Beisner Memorial
Fund at Sedgefield Presbyterian Church or to The Dan Fund (Medical Fund for
Greensboro Policeman, Dan Cunane), c / o Sharon Cunane, Greensboro Municipal
Credit Union, 217 N. Green St., Greensboro, N.C. 27401.
Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel is serving the family.
