Austin Allen Roach, loving husband and loving father, lost a quick battle to cancer, 
but has gained a new life with our Heavenly Father. He died peacefully November 28, 
2003, at home surrounded with love by family and friends. Allen was born December 
19, 1949, in Dallas to Sarah Elizabeth Allen Roach and Dr. Joseph Garland Roach, Jr. 
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Roach. He was a member of the 
Presbyterian Church. He graduated from W.T. White High School and attended 
University of North Texas. He was a Graduate Gemologist from the Gemological 
Institute of America and Certified Gemologist from the American Gem Society. He had 
a passion for his work at Tiffany and Company and admired all of his co-workers. He 
loved to travel with always the adventure of rock hunting. His sense of fairness, 
gentleness, and easy-going nature formed his core being that made him a friend to 
many. 
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth May Roach and sons, S. Allen Roach and Ely F. 
Roach, his father Dr. Joseph Garland Roach, his aunt Dr. Ruth Allen Mewhinney, 
brother, Joe G. Roach, III and wife Metta Roach, sister Lisa Baine, nieces Becky 
Humphrey, Jennifer Herrmann, Betsy Whiteaker, Carolyn Baine, nephew Joe G. 
Roach, IV, cousins Anne Monning and Dr. Hugh Mewhinney. 
Memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, December 1, 2003, at the Flower 
Mound Presbyterian Church, 1501 Flower Mound Road, Flower Mound, Texas. 
The family requests that memorials may be made to the Flower Mound Presbyterian 
Church. Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home Lewisville TX (972) 436-4581 are in charge of

Austin Allen Roach, the son of Dr. J. G. Roach, is the grandson of late Joseph 
Garland and Mary Hagan Roach of Celeste and Greenville and the great-grandson of 
late J. F. and Alice McDonald Roach of Celeste.
