RODIA
SAMUEL P., 90, of Ocean City NJ, passed away Fri, Jan. 2, 2004 with loving family at 
his side. Born in Phila, he had lived in Broomall PA, had summered in Ocean City 
before moving here 2 years ago; a 1936 graduate of Temple University. Mr. Rodia was 
an Officer for The Phila Police Dept. after retirement, worked for Penna Securities 
Commission in Phila. He was a Veteran of WWII, having served with The US Navy on 
a L.S.T. in the Pacific. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Police and the Sons of 
Italy. He is survived by his wife, Marie 'Betty' (nee Pfaff) Allen-Rodia of Ocean City 
NJ; daughter, Elizabeth Reese, husband, David, of Vestal NY; grandchildren, John 
David and Stephen Reese; a sister, Elizabeth Franco, of Media PA; a brother, Anthony 
Rodia, of Ventnor NJ and nieces and nephews. Friends may call Tues. morning from 
half past 8 until half past 9 at THE GODFREY FUNERAL HOME, 809 Central Ave, 
Ocean City NJ; followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 O'Clock at St. Augustine's 
R.C. Church, 13th St. at Wesley Ave, Ocean City NJ. Burial will follow Mass in Holy 
Cross Cemetery, Yeadon PA; where family and friends are asked to gather at the 
Cemetery Office at one o'clock. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, Memorial 
Contributions to Humane Society of Atlantic City, 1401 Absecon Blvd, Atlantic City NJ 
08401.
