Charles Rodia Sr., 92, (obit)
Senior partner at Iaison Lamp Co., WWII veteran 

Charles Rodia Sr., 92, of Broomall, Marple, a senior partner of Iaison Lamp Co. and an 
avid golfer, died June 30 at Haverford Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. 

Born in South Philadelphia, Mr. Rodia was a longtime resident of Upper Darby before 
moving to Broomall. He was a 1925 graduate of South Philadelphia High School, 
where he was secretary of his class and ranked fourth academically at graduation. 

Mr. Rodia began working at age 13 as an errand boy at Iaison Lamp Co., eventually 
becoming a senior partner. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he served in the 
South Pacific. 

Mr. Rodia was a member of Penn Oaks Country Club and Bala Country Club. 

Mr. Rodia was the widower of Marie D. LaRagione Rodia and the father of the late 
Richard Rodia. 

Survivors: Son, Charles Rodia four grandchildren three great-grandchildren. 

Mass: 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Road, Broomall. 

Visitation: After 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Kish Funeral Home, Sproul and Lawrence 
roads, Broomall. 

Burial: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Marple.
