Lou attended T.G. Morton School, Good Shepherd School, and Tilden 
Junior High School, all in Philadelphia, Pa. He was an altary boy at 
Good Shepherd Church, Phila., Pa. Lou served in the Civilian 
Conservation Corps. Later, he served in the United States Army, and was 
first a member of the Coast Artillery. Shortly thereafter, he beame a 
member of the Infantry and was stationed in India during World War Two.
Lou enjoyed music and reading. He regularly took classes or educated 
himself in various subjects, as he had a strong belief in continuing 
one's education throughout life. Lou played the guitar, and played with 
several bands on a part-time basis.
Lou was a salesman for St. Anthony Messenger Magazine for several 
years. For most of his adult life, Lou worked for Pennwalt Co., near 
Bristol, Pa.
