Deceased Name: Anthony J. Rollo
Anthony J. Rollo, 77, of Drexel Hill, a retired test engineer for 
jet-propulsion engines, died at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital on Tuesday of 
complications from kidney surgery. 
Mr. Rollo had lived in Yeadon before moving to Drexel Hill in 1981, the 
year he retired from the Philadelphia Navy Base. 
Family members said he was best remembered for his love of gardening 
and his ability as a craftsman. 
After graduating from South Philadelphia High School in 1942, he worked 
at the Philadelphia Navy Base except for service in World War II. He 
joined the Army Air Corps in 1943 and worked as a mechanic. In 1962, 
just months before the Cuban missile crisis, he joined the Air Force 
Reserve. 
Mr. Rollo was a member of American Legion Post 214 in Upper Darby. 
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lucy P. Clementone Rollo; 
children Marian M. DiGirolamo, Anthony J. Jr. and Peter R.; five 
grandchildren; and a sister. 
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. 
tomorrow.at Spencer T. Videon Funeral Home, 400 Shadeland Ave., Drexel 
Hill. A Funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Andrew 
Roman Catholic Church, 3500 School Lane, Drexel Hill. Burial will be in 
Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon. 
The family suggests contributions to Catholic Charities Appeal, 222 N.

Test engineer for jet propulsion engines 
Anthony J. Rollo, 77, of Drexel Hill, a former resident of Yeadon and 
longtime test engineer at the Philadelphia Shipyard, died July 3 at 
Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby. 
Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Rollo was a resident of Yeadon before moving 
to Drexel Hill in 1981. He was employed for 42 years as a test engineer 
for jet propulsion engines at the Philadelphia Shipyard, retiring in 
1981. 
A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Rollo was a member of American 
Legion Post No. 214 of Upper Darby and the Fraternal Order of Police. 
He enjoyed gardening. 
Mr. Rollo was the son of the late Joseph and Angelina Campisi Rollo. 
Survivors: Wife of 51 years, Lucy P. Clementone Rollo daughter, Marian 
M. DiGirolamo of Springfield sons, Anthony J. Rollo Jr. of New Orleans, 
La., and Pater R. Rollo of Media sister, Marie Riccardi of Pennsauken, 
N.J. five grandchildren. 
Mass: 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, 3500 School 
Lane, Drexel Hill. 
Visitation: 7-9 p.m. Friday and 8:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday at Spencer T. 
Videon Funeral Home, Garrett Road and Shadeland Ave., Drexel Hill. 
Burial: Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon.
