Note: Isabel, or Elizabeth, daughter of William FITZWALTER, of Wells and Claxby, 
Norfolk, by . . ., sister of Gilbert (DE GANT), EARL OF LINCOLN, and daughter of 
Walter DE GANT. [Robert FitzHugh] was dead in 1185, when his widow was said to be 
50 years of age. In 1202 she held lands (? her maritagium) worth 30 pounds, being 
then styled "Ysabel de Kandelesbi"; and in 1212 she held land in Candlesby in dower.
