ROMEO, MR. ANTHONY M. JR., 76, of Birmingham, passed away Monday, December 
30th, 2002. He was a graduate of Howard College, where he was an outstanding 
athlete. He was a U.S. Naval Air-Veteran of World War II and a U.S. Army Veteran of 
the Korean War. He was a registered pharmacist and owner of Romeo Drug Company 
for 25 years. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church, Jefferson County 
Pharmaceutical Association and Alabama State Board of Pharmacy where he was 
awarded a 50-year certificate of achievement. He was a member of The Knights Of 
Columbus and The Sons Of Italy. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a 
founding member of The Roma Country Club. He is preceded in death by his father, 
A.M. Romeo Sr.; mother, Sarah D. Romeo; and sisters, Elizabeth Fiore, and Mary 
Grace Schilleci. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gloria S. Romeo. His son, 
Tony Romeo of Birmingham. His daughter, Mary R. Young (husband, Ron) of 
Tuscaloosa. His grandchildren, Stephanie Romeo of Birmingham, Jonathan Young and 
Geoffrey Young, both of Tuscaloosa. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 
2, 2003, 10 a.m. at Our Lady Of Sorrows Catholic Church. Father Muller is officiating. 
Visitation will be at Johns Ridout's Funeral Parlors, Southside Chapel, Wednesday, 
January 1, 2003, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. (Rosary at 7 p.m.) Burial will be at Elmwood 
Cemetery. Pallbearers: Charles Schilleci, J.B. Schilleci, Joe Fiore, Jerry Fiore, Joseph 
DeLeonard, and Joseph Tombrello. Ridout's Southside Chapel directing.
