ROMEO, ANTHONY M., III Anthony M. "Tony" Romeo, III age 55, of Birmingham-
Odenville, passed away at a local hospital on Thursday evening November 8, 2007. 
Tony was the owner and operator of Romeo's Sporting Goods/Romeo's Outdoor Sports 
for 25 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony M. Romeo, Jr. 
Survivors include his mother, Gloria Romeo; daughter, Stephanie Romeo both of 
Birmingham; sister, Mary R. Young (Ron) of Tuscaloosa; nephews, Jonathan and 
Geoffrey Young of Tuscaloosa. Tony was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. As a huge 
contributor and sponsor of numerous men's , women's and children's athletics teams, 
he was inducted into the Central Alabama Softball Hall of Fame. He was also inducted 
into the BASA Hall of Fame. Tony was the first president of the Long Leaf Pine 
Hunting Club. Tony was admired and loved by all and will be greatly missed. He was a 
wonderful and loving father to his daughter Stephanie. The family invites friends to 
visit and celebrate Tony's life Wednesday, November 14, 2007 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. 
at Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood. A Rosary service will follow at 7:00 p.m. 
Graveside services will be Thursday, November 15, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Elmwood 
Cemetery. The family asks that in lieu of floral remembrances, donations in Tony's 
memory be made to the Exceptional Foundation, 1616 Oxmoor Road, Homewood, AL 
35209. Services are under the direction of Ridout's Valley Chapel (879-3401) 
Homewood.
