David was a farmer and a teacher. At one time he owned all of what is now Malvern, 
Pa. Together with his nephew William Penn Evans (1E9215), David planned the town 
of Malvern, and is considered, together with William, as the founder of that town.
	David once took a trip to Waterloo, Iowa, to visit his sisters Elizabeth 
(1E924) and Catherine (1E925).
Eliza's niece Sidney Pierce Walter married Levi Stokes Thomas (1E7242). David and 
Eliza had no children.
