Charles was a lumber merchant, as were his father and grandfather. From 1902 until
1930, he was treasurer of the Lumbermen's Exchange in Phila., Pa. Raised as a
member of the Religious Society of Friends, Charles was for 34 years a vestryman at
St. Mark's Protestant Episcopal Church where he also was an accounting warden from
1927 through 1945. Charles was a 32nd degree Mason.
George Randolph Parry's mother Rachel Randolph was a sister of Mary Randolph
who married William Maule (1E522).
In 1900, Charles and his family lived in Upper Providence, Delaware Co.,
Pa. In 1940 and 1950, Charles and Elizabeth lived at 2217 Rittenhouse Square,
Phila., Pa.
