Mrs. Emily J. Markham died at her home in Potterbrook on Jan. 28th.  The funeral 
services were conducted by B. H. Eddy on Friday afternoon.  The burial was in 
Riverside cemetery at Knoxville.  Mrs. Markham was born March 9, 1853 at Plymouth, 
N.Y.  She was a daughter of William and Mary Martin.  On Jan. 8, 1879 she was 
married to Charles D. Markham.  Came to live in Potterbrook in 1884.  Mrs. Markham is 
survived by her husband, a son, Carl and one sister, Mrs. F. L. Babcock.
