1981 book:
Morris was a member of the Religious Society of Friends. During World War I, he 
served with the Red Cross. Morris was founder and president of Leeds and Northrup, 
the electrical engineering firm. From 1909 until his death, Morris was a member of the 
board of trustees of Haverford College. From 1928 through 1945, he served as 
President of Haverford College; a portrait of him hangs outside the entrance to the 
Friends Collection rooms in the Haverford College Library. Morris also was president of 
the Philadelphia School Board from 1938 through 1948.
	In 1912, Morris and his brother Arthur (1E9642) took over management of 
the Maulton farm, although they did not live there.  In 1919, Morris entered into a 
farming partnership with his aunts; the business name of the company was E. Maule 
and Co.  On Feb. 3, 1942, the farm was sold to Plunkett Stewart, a fox hunter.
	Morris co-authored "Toward Full Employment". During 1945 and 1946, Morris 
intensified his genealogical research, and published the results of his work in a 
privately printed two-volume book "Genealogy of the Leeds-Evans-Maule-Conard 
Families".
	After Morris died, Hadassah married, successively, Raymond Parrot and 
Arthur Holcombe.
