OGDEN/BRIGHAM CITY - Golden Junior Eyre, 78, passed away Tuesday, December 
2, 2003 in Ogden, UT. 

 Goldie was born in Minersville, Utah on August 11, 1925, a son of Golden Walker and 
Marguerite Gray Eyre. 

 He served in WWII in the Navy and received the Victory award. 

 Goldie married his sweetheart, Jean Eldridge, October 7, 1946 in Poiche, NV. She 
passed away on October 4, 1987, just before their 40th wedding anniversary. He later 
married Barbara Tucker in Ogden, UT. 

 The circles of his life have always been large and full of love. Goldie grew up in 
Minersville Utah, and loved to tell stories of his adventures and making people laugh. 
He said he learned about life from his dad and grandpa, leaning on the fence after a 
hard day's work. After his service in the Navy in the South Pacific he worked as a 
Conductor and Brakeman for the SP Railroad for 44 years. He was a loving husÅ band 
and devoted father and grandfather. Goldie was a friend to everyone he ever met. His 
family was his life and he will be greatly missed. We are comforted in the belief he is 
with his sweet wife and daughter once again. 

 Goldie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints. 

 Surviving are his wife; Barbara, children; Larry (Diane) Eyre, Cyprus, TX; Richard 
(Lisa) Eyre, Ogden, UT; Randy (Sharon) Eyre, Dallas, TX; Mitchell (Christine) Eyre, 
Brigham City, UT; Shelly Eyre, Salt Lake City, UT; Norma (Chris) Beach, Brigham City, 
UT; Linda (Barney) Barnhart, Brigham City, UT; Kari (Shawn) Stanley, Brigham City, 
UT; son-in-law, Jeffery Norman, stepchildren; Earl (Bridgett) Tucker, Olla, WA; Stanley 
Tucker, Joyce, WA; Candy (Rodney) Brown, Ogden, UT; 38 grandchildren, 11 Step 
grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, sister, Jean (Glen) Andersen, Ceder City, UT; 
brothers-in-law; Reed (Margaret) Eldridge, Salt Lake City, UT; Boyd (May) Eldridge, 
Denver, CO . 

 His parents, wife, Jean and daughter, Jeanette Norman, and four grandchildren 
preceded him in death. 

 Funeral Services will be Saturday, December 6, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary 
Chapel, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, UT. 

 Friends may call on Friday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. 
at the Mortuary. 

 Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery with Military Honors Accorded by VFW
