NEWMARKET - Ehzabeth 'Betty' (Miller) Popov, 83, of. 230 Bay Rd., died Sunday, 
Apnl 5, 1998 at her home in Newmarket.

Born March 5, 1915 m New York City, she was the daughter of Benjamin H. and Mary 
(Critcherson) Miller. She graduated from Wadsworth (Ohio) High School and attended 
Antioch College.

Since 1975, Betty and her husband of 59 years, Nicholas G. Popov, have resided in 
Newmarket.

Betty was a former member of the Newmarket Planning Board, a board member of 
Lamprey Health Care Center, and a board' member of Newmarket Community 
Development Corp.

She was a four-term NH State Representative and' a member of the House 
Environmental and Agriculture Committee.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Dobrinka N., Peter N., and 
Christopher N.; her grandchildren, Elysia K. Lindfield, Coren J. Lindfield, Nicole L. 
Popov, and Emily E. L. Popov.

A Memorial Celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, April 12 from 12:30 to 2:30 
p.m. at the family home at 230 Bay Rd., Newmarket.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lamprey Health Care, 207 South Main 
St., Newmarket, NH 03857 or Newmarket Public Library, 1 Elm St., Newmarket. NH
