Ruth Helen Cupps, 80, of Blue Springs, MO, formerly of Warsaw, passed away 
Tuesday, December 16, 2014 in Harrisonville, MO. She was born October 1, 1934 in 
Marion, IN to Elmer and Sarah (Moon) Brown. She was united in marriage to William 
Carl Cupps who preceded her in death. She was a comptometer operator for Standard 
Oil Co. Ruth was a very active member of Faith Lutheran Church in Warsaw, MO and 
loved singing in the choir. She was secretary of the Northshore neighborhood and a 
member of the Red Hat Society. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in 
death by her 9 siblings.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Deborah Walker and husband Robert of Blue 
Springs, MO; son, Eugene Rude and wife Cindy of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, 
Nicholas Rude, Samantha Rude, Jeffery Walker, Jennifer Heidbreder, Robert Michael 
Walker; great grandchildren, Taylor, Brayden, Jamie, Kayla, Haley, Katelyn, Zoe’, and 
Dominic.

Funeral Services for Ruth will be 10:00 am, Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Meyers 
Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main St., Blue Springs, MO, 816-229-3276, with visitation 
one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Burial will be at Blue Springs Cemetery.
