Doris Kathleen DeGaetani, age 84, widow of Frank DeGaetani, went to be with the 
Lord on Friday, February 8, 2002. She is survived by her children, Evelyn D. Cage, 
Gary C. DeGaetani, Yvonne D. Lewis, Amelia D. Newsom and her husband, Kenny, 
Franklin P. DeGaetani and his wife, Susan and Etta Kay Chigges; two sisters, Bernice 
W. Payne and Nell W. Carter; one brother, Edwin G. White; 15 grandchildren and 19 
great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Melanie 
Francs Lewis. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. this afternoon at the 
West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad St. A graveside service will 
be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2002 at Westhampton Memorial Park. In 
lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the T.V. Ministry of First Baptist Church, 
2709 Monument Ave., Richmond, Va. 23220 or to the Hospice of Central Virginia, 
7231 Forest Ave., Suite 100, Richmond, Va. 23226.
