Thad Curry, 88, of 3 Forest Hills Drive in Luray, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, at Lynn 
Care Center in Front Royal.

Mr. Curry was born Sept. 14, 1919, in Zimerman, La., and was a son of the late James 
Avl Curry and Sarah Elizabeth Bull Curry.

He was a supervisor at Bell Atlantic and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was 
a member of the Luray Caverns Country Club and Tuesday Nite Supper Club.

In May 1942, he married his first wife, Hilda Bell Curry, who preceded him in death 
Nov. 12, 1995. On May 22, 1977, he married Phyllis May Clendenon Campbell, who 
preceded him in death May 21, 2001.

Survivors include two sons, James E. Curry of Wake Forest, N.C., and Clyde T. Curry 
of Texas; three daughters, Nanci Marie King of Blacksburg, Betsy Week of Hawaii and 
Catherine Curry of Oregon; a brother, David Robb Curry of Virginia; and seven 
grandchildren.

The Rev. R. Nicholas Eichelberger will conduct a memorial service 2 p.m. Saturday, 
Jan. 5, 2008, at St. Mark Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Andrews Chapel in Vienna.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 89, Luray, 
VA 22835.

Arrangements are by Bradley Funeral Home in Luray.
