MARJORIE DEETZ EARLY GREEN VALLEY, Ariz. - Marjorie Deetz Early, of Green 
Valley, died Wednesday, April 29, 2009. Born April 3, 1925, in Rockford, the daughter 
of Guy and Ethel Deetz. She attended Rockford public schools and graduated from 
Lawrence University with a B.S. in music. A member of Pi Beta Phi fraternity, she 
served in local, state and national offices. She was also a member of Court St. United 
Methodist Church. In 1947, she married Gordon Early. Survivors include Gordon; 
daughter, Deidre Early; and granddaughter, Emily Eberhart. Marjorie was preceded in 
death by her parents and a son, Guy B. Early, DDS. Cremation rites were recorded and 
inurnment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the following: 
Pi Beta Phi Foundation; the Lawrence Fund of Lawrence University, P.O. Box 599, 
Appleton, WI 54912; or the charity of your choice. Arrangements by Green Valley 
Mortuary.
