Our dear mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away on July 15, 2008 at the 
age of 78.


She was born November 20, 1929 in Rock Springs, Wyoming to Harry Franklin and 
Bertha Gray Holmes. She was raised in Minersville, Utah and graduated from Milford 
High School in 1947. In January of 1952 she married McKay Davis and moved to Salt 
Lake City where she raised her family. Mac and Millie were married for 55 years. He 
passed away last July, and she spoke often of how her heart ached and she missed 
him so. Millie was a beautician who worked from a salon in her basement. She had 
many loyal patrons and friends and could often be found making house calls to the 
older women in her neighborhood. Her life was based in selflessness and endless 
charity taking care of not only her family but others who were in need. Millie often 
picked up the older women of her ward and took them to church, brought them dinner 
and looked after other needs they had. She loved her family and she was happiest 
when she was surrounded by them. 


She is survived by her four children, McKay, Mark, William (Bill) and Mary (Luis) 
Rodriguez, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She had six siblings, 
Frank, Robert, Charlotte, Janet, William and Wendell who made up the Lucky Seven. 
The family would like to express special thanks to the apostle, Dr. Russell M. Nelson, 
for his expertise and pioneering heart surgery - saving their dear mother so she could 
care for her children as long as she has. 

Funeral Services will be held on July 21, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 
4760 South State Street, where Friends and Family may call from 10:00-10:45 a.m. 
Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
