Edgar was director of the National Bank and Trust Co. of West Grove, Pa., from 1917 
until 1952. He was a member of West Grove Friends Meeting.
After their marriage, Edgar and Mary took over the farm of Edgar's father, Penrose 
(1E859), in Highland Twp., Chester Co., Pa. Later they owned a general store in 
Russellville, Pa., where Mary was postmaster. In 1922, they moved to Oxford, Pa.
