1981 book:
	Edith attended the Chestnut Grove School, Gum Tree, Pa. While a student 
there, one of her teachers was Helen Wickersham, who later married Edith's brother 
Charles (1E75714). Edith then attended Coatesville High School, graduating in 1922, 
and George School, graduating in 1923.
	Edith had great musical ability, and also studied art at Coatesville High 
School and at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Her painting of a cabbage head won 
first prize in 1960 at the Chester-Delaware County Pomona Grange contest, and also 
won first prize in the Pennsylvania State Grange Contest. Edith at one time raised 
chickens for egg production.
	Edith was a member of the Religious Society of Friends, and was a member 
of Doe Run Farmers Club and Doe Run Grange. Edith did not marry.
	In 1981, Edith lived at RD 3, Box 308, Coatesville, Pa. 19320.  In early 
1986, Edith became a resident of Oxford Manor Nursing Facility, Oxford, Pa.  She died 
after and eleven and one-half month battle with cancer.  A memorial service was held 
on Jan. 11, 1987 at Fallowfield Friends Meeting.
